Let's hear it for the Heros!

What a run.................... From the beginning in 1982, the Mid-Atlantic  Professional Rodeo Association has been fortunate indeed to have a tight circle of tremendously talented, deeply dedicated and thoroughly knowledgeable hands with many years of experience in the sport of rodeo that  we all enjoy so much. Along with this special group of people, we have spent over 25 years growing this company into the great  business we are so proud of. No one did it alone, it is always a work in progress, as time and events change and grow, one door opens and another closes. Always looking forward for new and better directions to keep our rodeos exciting and fun!  It is fascinating to watch our crew as they work feverishly to keep everything right on track and create the best rodeo entertainment and competition possible, sometimes at a genuine run!

One of the main hands in our company  is retiring or should I say regrouping! With us, almost from the very beginning, Tex Lippard has been there in any mode needed, but his favorite has always been when he was his pickup horses, working quick and sure to take care of the bronc  riders and the broncs! As of January 2nd, 2010 Tex has retired from his role of Rodeo Pickup Man. We will miss him in the bronc riding, but he will still be  center stage in the arena as he will continue to function as an intregal part of the productions in many capacities .

Words fail as we attempt to thank Tex for his years of dedicated service and all he has done for the bronc riders , our broncs and our show! Thanks so much Cowboy, We appreciate you more than you will ever know, for all you do, but mostly for what you are, Our Great and True Friend forever.

South East Roping Association

(SERA)

The EZ Run PBRA

(EZ Run Pro Barrel Racing Association)

All Mid Atlantic current card holders may compete at EZ Run PBRA sanctioned shows on their MAPRA card.  At shows that are EZ Run PBRA sanctioned first, MAPRA members will abide by the EZ Run Pro's rules and payoff.  MAPRA members will not have to pay any extra fees to compete with the EZ Run Pro.  MAPRA members are eligible to win money, but your points will only count on your MAPRA card.  If you are interested in earning points and competing in the EZ Run Pro's Finals, you may purchase their association card with their office.  Your current MAPRA card will be honored for entry at any EZ Run PBRA except their Finals Barrel Race in November.  This is how it works, MAPRA members may enter any EZ Run PBRA offered classes they wish, but the points turned into the MAPRA office can only be accumulated in the Open 4D Barrels.  MAPRA barrel racers placing in the 1D or 2D only will receive points in the MAPRA.  At time of entry, the MAPRA member, if running more than one horse, must specify with the show secretary the horse running for points to count on.  You will only accumulate points on one run with the MAPRA.  These co-sanctioned show points will be turned into the MAPRA office and will count towards your year end barrel racing points.  These shows will NOT count towards your qualifying shows towards the Finals.  (You must have competed in 10 full rodeos to qualify for the MAPRA Finals)  For more information about this association, click on their name at the top of this paragraph to view their web site.

The NBRA

(National Bull Riders Association)

All Mid Atlantic current card holders may compete at NBRA events and have their points count towards our Finals and yearly standings

The PBBA

(Professional Bucking Bull Association)

These events will now be held with Mid Atlantic Rodeos.

PAC Approved/APHA

(American Paint Horse Association)

We are now a PAC Approved association.  This means that you are eligible to carry points on your registered Paint Horse with the APHA.  This will also make your horse eligible for year end awards with the APHA.  Go to the APHA site for more details and contact information to learn how to enroll your horse in this program.  Again, click on the association name for the link to their site.
